RCC’s Mission is:
To help you take the next step in developing your relationship with God.
The RCC Way
Like every other family, church families develop a unique style or feel. At least that is what has happened here at RCC. There is a vibe around here that is undeniable… We call that vibe the RCC Way and there are three main facets to it:
1. Attitude is everything
At RCC it’s common to hear people say, “I am not where I want to be, but I’m not where I was.” Basically, it’s all about the heart. God always chooses leaders based on their hearts, not their experience or skill set. (1 Samuel 16:7) So do we.
2. There is no “U” in family.
You may have heard that there is no “I” in team… Well, there is no “U” in family. The world says “it’s all about you.” Here at RCC we ask, “What’s best for others?”
1 Corinthians 10:33 – “I don’t just do what I like or what is best for me, but what is best for them so they may be saved.”
Others first… We give grace and forgiveness, not judgment. Everybody is important. Nobody is perfect. And that’s OK! Additionally, instead of trying to improve everybody else, we each tend to just focus on growing ourselves.
Matthew 7:3-4 – “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying, ‘let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?”
3. Actions speak louder than words.
James 2:14 – “Dear brothers and sisters, what’s the use of saying you have faith if you don’t prove it by your actions?”
Don’t tell me what you know. Show me. We live what we believe. We live out our values and we live out our faith the best we can. We are teachable, available and we just give each day our best shot. If we have a bad day, we try to say, “no big deal.” Then we get up and try again the next day.
